These large scale black and white photographs portray sections of typical landscapes of civilization. The perspective is unpretentious and quotidian — as if the photographer had simply halted in the middle of walking from one place to another and pressed the shutter release. The result is images that are, at first sight, unspectacular. Views that we would otherwise never notice, or commit to memory. But if we take the time to look more closely, the images become irritating. There’s something small and bright that looks like two human bodies. The small figures are from a toy store; they are yellow and stick to objects when thrown.
